For menu broadcasts, upload the actual menu image during template submission rather than a placeholder — reviewers see the sample media, and a mismatch between a food image and promotional body text is a common rejection reason.

Should my table-ready and order-ready messages be Utility or Marketing?

Utility. Any message triggered by a specific customer action — a booking, an order, a waitlist entry — qualifies as Utility under Meta's rules. Utility conversations are cheaper than Marketing in India, so tagging these correctly saves real money at volume. Only untriggered broadcasts like weekend specials need the Marketing tag.

Can I send my daily menu to customers on WhatsApp every day?

Yes, as a Marketing template with an image header, but only to customers who opted in. Daily sends to an engaged list work well for cloud kitchens and tiffin services; for dine-in restaurants, 2-3 sends a week usually performs better. Watch your block rate — Meta throttles numbers whose Marketing messages get blocked frequently.

How do reservation reminders reduce no-shows?

A reminder 2-3 hours before the slot with a one-tap Confirm or Cancel button lets guests release the table instead of silently skipping. Restaurants typically see no-show rates fall by a third or more, and cancelled slots can be re-offered to the waitlist. The reminder is a Utility template, so it is cheap to send at scale.

Do festival pre-order campaigns need special approval?
