Sunam in nine lines

Sangrur district was formed in 1948 from parts of the former Jind, Nabha and Patiala states, the Malerkotla state and areas of the former Ludhiana district.[2]
It is one of four districts in Patiala Division and borders Ludhiana to the north, Barnala to the west, Patiala to the east and Fatehabad in Haryana to the south.[1]
