Cotton yarn is Mansa district's first ODOP product. Follow the packet round a trader's order: which messages answer the buyer, which are approved templates, and which one needs nothing at all.
The buyer's question opens a 24-hour window, so the quote, the photo of the cones and any haggling over the rate are replies at the service rate, with no template. The order confirmation and the dispatch note go days later, after the window has closed, so they are approved utility templates with the quantity, the lorry and the bilty as variables.
Nothing in the flow is marketing. A message offering last season's buyers a new count would be, and goes only to buyers who agreed to receive offers. The 24-hour service window explains the rule.

Mansa in seven lines

Mansa district was formed on 13 April 1992 out of Bathinda district; it covers 2,174 sq km and 242 villages, and Punjabi is its language.[1],[2]
The district lies in Punjab's cotton belt and calls itself the Area of white gold; it says agriculture is the backbone of its economy, with trade and industry in its towns.[2]
Bhai Gurdas, from Dhingar in the district, is said to have founded the town; a fair is held at his samadh every year in March–April, where people offer laddus and gur.[3]
Mansa town has had a Class 'A' municipality since 1952; Budhlada, 22 km away, and Sardulgarh became sub-divisions in 1992 and 1993.[2]
The town lies on the Bathinda–Jind–Delhi line and the Barnala–Sardulgarh–Sirsa road; trains run direct to Delhi, Mumbai, Howrah and Dibrugarh, and IBEF notes the station's redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.[2],[4],[6]
Bathinda, with the nearest airport, is about 60 km by road and Sirsa in Haryana about 70 km; Patiala is about 108 km and Chandigarh about 180 km.[4]
