Attendees lose emails but they open WhatsApp. These templates cover the full event lifecycle for Indian organisers: booking confirmations with e-tickets, day-before and day-of reminders, gate and parking instructions, schedule changes, waitlist upgrades and post-event follow-ups. Each one is written to pass Meta review on the first submission.

Getting events & ticketing templates approved — and opened
Attach the e-ticket PDF as a document header instead of pasting a link in the body — delivery of the actual file cuts "where is my ticket" support messages and keeps the template Utility.
Keep reminder templates strictly logistical (time, gate, what to carry). Adding a merch or upsell line to a reminder usually gets it reclassified as Marketing, which changes pricing and requires opt-out handling.
Submit your schedule-change and cancellation templates before you need them. Approval can take hours, and a rain delay is the worst moment to discover your only approved template says "see you tomorrow".
Should my event reminder templates be Utility or Marketing?+
Reminders tied to a ticket the person already bought are Utility: they facilitate an existing transaction. Keep the copy to logistics — timing, venue, entry rules. The moment you add promotional content like merch offers or tickets to another show, Meta may recategorise the template as Marketing, which costs more and needs an opt-out.
Can I send the actual e-ticket on WhatsApp?+
Yes. Use a template with a document header and attach the ticket PDF (with the QR code inside) at send time. This is the most reliable pattern — attendees find the file in the chat at the gate without hunting through email. Keep the PDF under 100 MB, though real tickets are rarely over 1 MB.
How do I message people who registered but haven't opted in to offers?+
Registration for a specific event lets you send Utility messages about that event: confirmations, reminders, changes. It does not cover promotions for future events. Collect a separate marketing opt-in — a checkbox at checkout works — before sending announcements, and honour STOP replies immediately.
What happens if my event is cancelled or postponed?+
Send a Utility template with the new date or refund process as soon as the decision is made — cancellation notices about an existing booking are transactional, not marketing. Include the refund timeline and a button to reach support. Templates for this should be pre-approved so you can broadcast within minutes.
