When buyers ask for the town by name
A GI tag puts a place on the label. Since March 2024 the name Vasmat Haldi has travelled further than the town's turmeric used to, and buyers who have read it write to Basmat with questions: what the season's crop looks like, how it is dried and polished, how soon a lot or a pack can ship.
Every one of those first questions is a reply. It needs no template, it can carry photos and a quality report, and it costs the service rate. The templates come later and are few: the order confirmation, the dispatch note, the invoice and its reminder. A Basmat business that writes those once, in the languages its buyers read, has most of its WhatsApp work done before the harvest.
