For Pusad's cotton ginning factories and oil presses, the produce traders buying from its growers, its engineering college and coaching classes, and the agents who book its road journeys: how one grower's chat moves through a ginning season on WhatsApp, which messages need templates, and what each costs.
See it work
One grower's chat with a Pusad ginning factory, state by state
A cotton grower writes to a ginning factory to ask the day's rate, brings his cart to the weighbridge and waits for payment. Walk the chat through its states to see when the factory may write freely and when it needs an approved template.
The grower's questions keep reopening the window, so most of a season is replies. Only the payment note after a quiet day, and next year's opening notice, have to be written as templates, approved once and reused for every cart.
The opening notice is marketing, and goes only to growers whose yes the factory recorded. The 24-hour service window explains the rest.

Pusad in nine lines
From the Yavatmal district administration's pages, Invest India's ODOP list and IBEF's Maharashtra profile; the river, the town's leaders, its trade and its college are general background from Wikipedia.
Pusad heads one of Yavatmal's seven revenue sub-divisions, with the Pusad and Digras tahsils; Warud, Brahmangaon, Jamb Bazar, Shembal Pimpri and Belora Bu. are among the places the district lists under Pusad.[1]
Yavatmal district covers 13,582 sq km, with 16 tahsils, 16 block panchayats and 2,117 villages.[2]
The district's tourist pages name the Sahastrakund waterfall, on the boundary of Marathwada and Vidarbha, and the Tipeshwar sanctuary in Pandharkawada tahsil.[3]
Invest India's ODOP list names cotton ginning and pressing, and dolomite and limestone, for Yavatmal.[4]
The town is named after the Pus river, which rises in the Ajanta range near Washim, flows through Pusad and joins the Penganga near Mahur; its ancient name was Pushpawanti.[6]
Vasantrao Naik, born in Gahuli village of Pusad, was Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1963 to 1975; Sudhakarrao Naik held the office from 1991 to 1993. Pusad is home to a large Banjara community.[6]
Cotton ginning and oil-press factories have worked in Pusad since before 1958; millet, wheat, tur, cotton, groundnut and sunflower are the main crops around it.[6]
Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering was founded in 1983. The town is reached by road, with state buses to Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Yavatmal.[6]
IBEF lists Marathi, Konkani, Hindi and English as Maharashtra's languages and textiles among its key industries.[5]

Marathi templates, replies in any language
Banjari, or Gor boli, is not one of Meta's template languages; Marathi, Hindi and English are, and each version is approved separately.
A grower who writes in Banjari gets his answer in Banjari: replies inside the 24-hour window need no template. InfiQ's own support works in English and Hindi.

Questions Pusad businesses ask
- Q1
Growers bring carts to our ginning factory in Pusad, where cotton has been ginned since before 1958. Is the weighbridge slip a utility template?
Only if you send it after the grower's 24-hour window has closed. A slip sent while the grower is still chatting with you about the rate is a reply at ₹0.145. Sent the next day, it is a utility template at ₹0.19, approved in Marathi with the slip number, weight and grade as variables.
- Q2
Our oil press in Pusad supplies groundnut and sunflower oil to shops in Digras and Umarkhed. Can the shops reorder on WhatsApp?
Yes. When a shop writes to reorder, your price, stock and delivery date are replies at ₹0.145. The order confirmation and invoice sent later are utility templates at ₹0.19, and if you bill in Busy, InfiQ's integration sends them and the payment reminders automatically.
- Q3
Our coaching class near Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering in Pusad wants to send exam-date notices. Who can we send them to?
To enrolled students and parents who agreed to receive updates, as utility templates at ₹0.19. Someone who only enquired about a batch has not agreed to hear from you, and a batch offer to them would be a marketing template at ₹0.94 that needs their recorded yes.
- Q4
State buses link Pusad to Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur, and our travel agency books seats on them. Can the ticket and boarding point go on WhatsApp?
Yes. A ticket for a journey the passenger booked is a utility template at ₹0.19, with the seat, the boarding point and the departure time as variables and the ticket PDF in the header. If the passenger writes back to change the date, your answers are replies at ₹0.145.
- Q5
Our tur and groundnut trading firm buys from Banjara tandas around Pusad. Can our templates be in Gor boli?
No. Banjari, or Gor boli, is not one of Meta's template languages, so templates such as a payment note must be in Marathi (mr), Hindi (hi) or English. When a grower writes to you in Gor boli, your answers are ordinary replies, so staff can answer in Gor boli for the next 24 hours.
- Q6
Visitors ask our Pusad cab service about a trip to the Sahastrakund waterfall on the Marathwada–Vidarbha boundary. Is our fare reply a marketing message?
No. They asked, so the fare, the route and a map pin are replies at ₹0.145 each. A pickup reminder for a ride they booked is a utility template at ₹0.19. A monsoon-trip offer sent unasked would be marketing at ₹0.94, only for people who agreed to receive offers.
