WhatsApp Business API for Armoor's turmeric traders, lorry firms and pilgrim lodges

Armoor has been a municipality since 2006 and sits on NH 44 between Nizamabad and the Godavari. Turmeric is its district's ODOP product, and a farmer's number written in last season's register is not a yes to messages.

For Armoor's turmeric commission agents and traders in a district whose ODOP product is turmeric, the lodges near the Navanatha Siddeshwara temple on Siddulagutta and the lorry firms on NH 44: how a farmer's chat moves between replies, payment notes and rate alerts, and what each costs.

See it work

One turmeric farmer's chat with an Armoor trader, state by state

A farmer's number sits in an Armoor commission agent's register from last season. Walk the chat through its states to see what the agent may send in each one, and what moves it on.

The register is where an Armoor trader is tempted to start, and it is the one state from which nothing may be sent. A farmer who writes first, even to ask a rate he could have heard at the yard, changes that.

From then on the chat mostly runs itself: replies while he is talking, a utility template when the money moves, and rate alerts only if he asks for them. A STOP ends the alerts for good.

Telugu and Urdu, with Hindi and English beside them

Telugu and Urdu are both Meta template languages, so an Armoor business can write templates for customers who read either.

Meta does not translate templates: each version is written by the business and approved separately under the same name. Replies need no template, so staff answer in the language a customer writes; InfiQ's own support works in English and Hindi.

Questions Armoor businesses ask

Turmeric farmers from around Armoor sell their lots through our commission shop. Can we send each farmer's payment note after the sale?+
Yes. A payment note about a lot the farmer sold you is a utility template at ₹0.19, with the weight, the rate, the amount and the transfer reference as variables. Write it once in Telugu and get it approved before the harvest.
Our Armoor trading firm has farmers' numbers in a register from last season. Can we message all of them about this year's turmeric rates?+
Not until each farmer agrees. A rate message sent unasked is marketing at ₹0.94, and a number in a register is not consent. Wait for farmers to write, answer them at ₹0.145, and ask for a yes to rate alerts in that chat.
Pilgrims ask our Armoor lodge about the Navanatha Siddeshwara temple on Siddulagutta. Are our answers marketing?+
No. They asked, so the route, the timing and your tariff are replies at ₹0.145 each, sent freely for 24 hours after their last message. A booking confirmation sent after that window has closed is a utility template at ₹0.19.
Some farmers who sell turmeric through our Armoor firm read Urdu first. Can our payment templates be in Urdu?+
Yes. Urdu (ur) is one of Meta's template languages. You write the Urdu version yourself, since Meta does not translate templates, and it is approved separately from your Telugu (te) version under the same template name.
Lorries leave our Armoor godown on NH 44 for Hyderabad, 183 km away. Can the driver's number go in the buyer's dispatch note?+
Yes. A dispatch note for an order the buyer placed is a utility template at ₹0.19, with the lorry number, the driver's number, the bag count and the expected arrival as variables. It costs the India rate wherever the buyer is in India.
Our Armoor turmeric firm wants farmers to get weekly rate alerts only if they ask. How is each yes recorded?+
InfiQ records the source and time of each opt-in, so you can show when and where a farmer agreed, and exports the trail. A farmer who replies STOP is blocked from further alerts, even if his number is imported again later.
