San Diego has more than 400 biotech companies, many of them in La Jolla and Sorrento Valley. An Indian CRO's relationship with one of them is a thread of quotes, confirmations and reports, and WhatsApp can carry all of it except the sales pitch.

A research lab in Sorrento Valley asks an Indian contract research organisation to run a study. Follow the order through the messages that reach a +1 number.
The CRO's LIMS or project system calls the developer API at each status change, so the confirmation, the QC-checked report and the download link go out in the San Diego working day even though it is the middle of the Indian night. The lab's questions in between land in one shared team inbox.

San Diego is the eighth-most populous city in the United States and the second in California, with an estimated 1,406,106 residents in 2025.[4]

22:30 IST while San Diego is on daylight time, from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, and 23:30 IST for the rest of the year. India does not change its clocks, so the gap is 12.5 hours in summer and 13.5 in winter.

Mexico's, because Meta prices each message by the recipient's country code, not by where the person is. The US marketing restriction is about US numbers; the Mexico guide covers Mexico's rules and rates for +52 contacts.

The Consulate General of India in Los Angeles. Since 15 July 2025 it has covered ten Southern California counties, San Diego among them, plus Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Point passport and visa reminders there rather than to San Francisco.
