WhatsApp Business API for Saharsa's makhana units, kilns and shops
Saharsa sells foxnut to buyers across India and abroad and bricks to builders across the Kosi region. Its customers write in Maithili and Hindi, and the rules for what a business may write back depend on who spoke first.
Trade 1
Makhana
The district's ODOP product, packed for wholesalers across India and buyers abroad.
Trade 2
Bricks
One of the Kosi region's largest brick centres, selling to builders through the season.
For Saharsa's makhana processors and traders, brick kilns, food makers, lodges and shops: how the official WhatsApp Business API carries dispatch notes and payment reminders, why templates go in Hindi while replies can be in Maithili, what reaches buyers abroad, and what each message costs in rupees.
See it work
A Hindi template or a Maithili reply
A makhana unit in Saharsa writes to buyers in two ways. Compare them row by row: one needs Meta's approval and a language Meta supports, the other only needs the buyer to have written first.
Most of a small unit's WhatsApp traffic is the right-hand column: a trader asks about grade, price or stock and someone answers. The left-hand column is for messages the unit starts, such as a dispatch note or a payment reminder, and these must be approved templates in a language Meta supports.
The 24-hour service window explains when the right-hand column applies, and the India guide covers consent for the left.

Hindi for templates, Maithili for conversation
Meta approves each template once per language. In Saharsa that means Hindi first, English for buyers outside the state, and Urdu where customers read it.
Maithili is the language many Saharsa customers write in, but it is not a template language. Inside the 24-hour window your staff can reply in Maithili freely. InfiQ's own support team works in English and Hindi.
| Language | Meta code | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi | hi | Dispatch notes, reminders and confirmations to local buyers |
| English (India) | en_IN | Wholesale and export buyers, banks and transporters |
