- New-crop notes to buyers who opted in
Supaul has been a district since 14 March 1991, with Nepal to the north and the Kosi through its middle. Its two ODOP products, makhana and lac bangles, both sell by photo first.

Makhana
The fox nut on Supaul's ODOP list; as Mithila Makhana it carries a GI tag
Trade 2
Lac bangles
The district's other ODOP product, chosen by colour and size, which on WhatsApp means photos first
For Supaul's makhana processors and traders, the lac bangle makers behind the district's other ODOP product, the cabs and lodges that serve the Koshi Barrage at Birpur and the Nepal border, and the shops of its towns: one buyer's chat from question to dispatch, Maithili replies and Hindi templates, and what each message costs.
See it work
A sweet shop in Kolkata asks an illustrative Supaul makhana trader for sizes. Play the chat to see which messages are replies and which one is a template.
Every one of the trader's messages but the last needed no preparation: the buyer wrote, and the trader answered. Only the dispatch note, which goes out after the window has closed, has to be a template that Meta approved beforehand.
Bangles work the same way: colours and sizes go as photos in reply, and the dispatch note is the template. The 24-hour service window explains what a reply allows.

From the Supaul district administration's pages, IBEF's Bihar profile and Invest India's ODOP list; the town's language and its neighbouring towns are general background from Wikipedia.
Supaul district was established on 14 March 1991, carved out of Saharsa, with four subdivisions and 11 blocks; Supaul town is the headquarters.[1]
It belongs to the Koshi division and borders Nepal to the north, Saharsa to the south, Araria to the east and Madhubani to the west.[2]
By the district's account the area has been part of Mithilanchal since the Vedic period, and Hindu mythology calls it the fishery area, Matsya Kshetra.[2]
The Koshi flows through the district, which calls it a sorrow for the area and for Bihar; its tributaries include the Tilyuga, Bhenga and Sursar.[2]
The Koshi Barrage stands at Birpur, on a river that flows through both Nepal and Bihar.[1],[3]
Invest India's ODOP list names lac bangles and makhana (fox nut) for Supaul.[4]
IBEF's Bihar profile carries the news that GI-tagged Mithila Makhana made its first sea shipment from Bihar to Australia.[5]
Hindi is the official language and Maithili an additional official and the regional language; Birpur, Nirmali, Triveniganj and Simrahi are among the district's towns.[6]
Four businesses that follow from the two ODOP products, the barrage and the border.
Makhana is on Supaul's ODOP list, and Mithila Makhana carries a GI tag.[4],[5]
Lac bangles are the district's other ODOP product, chosen by colour and size.[4]
The Koshi Barrage at Birpur is the district's listed place to visit, and Nepal lies along its north.[3],[2]
Birpur, Nirmali, Triveniganj and Simrahi are among the towns around the headquarters.[6]
Maithili is the regional language, but it is not a Meta template language. Hindi and English are, so templates go in those and replies stay in Maithili.
Each language is a separate version of a template under one name, approved by Meta on its own. Inside the 24-hour window staff answer in Maithili or any language a customer writes in; InfiQ's own support works in English and Hindi.

Plan prices are monthly, in rupees, excluding GST; yearly billing is two months free. Messages are charged per delivered message on top of the plan, at the rate for the recipient’s country. Full details: InfiQ pricing. A sweet shop in Kolkata or a wholesaler in Delhi on an Indian number costs the India rate. A customer on a Nepali number is charged at InfiQ's published rate for that market, because Meta prices by the recipient's country code. Invoices are in rupees and carry your Bihar GSTIN.

One WhatsApp number answered by a team: 10 users on Lite and 25 on Growth, agent and manager roles, transfers, private notes, labels and canned replies.
The owner, the packing floor and the accounts desk answer one number, so a buyer's size question, order and payment stay in one thread.
Draft, submit and track WhatsApp message templates for Meta's approval, starting from a library of 1,000+ ready templates in 27 categories.
The dispatch note and the bill are written once in Hindi and English, submitted for Meta's approval and reused for every bag of makhana or box of bangles.
InfiQ publishes its per-message rate for every Meta market in rupees, ex-GST, so the cost of messaging customers abroad is known before you send.
Customers across the Nepal border are charged at InfiQ's published rate for their market, in rupees, so a Supaul shop knows the cost before it sends.

Question: Sweet shops in Kolkata ask our Supaul makhana house for sizes and rates. Can we send photos without an approved template?
Answer: Yes. The buyer wrote first, so for 24 hours the photos, sizes and rates are replies at ₹0.145 each, with no template. A template is needed only if you write to the buyer after the window has closed.
Question: Buyers of our Supaul makhana want the vehicle number and invoice when the bags leave. Does that need a template?
Answer: Usually, because it goes out a day or more after the order. A dispatch note for an order the buyer placed is a utility template at ₹0.19, with the invoice PDF as its header and the vehicle number as a variable.
Question: We make lac bangles, one of Supaul's two ODOP products. Can we send this season's colours to shops that bought last year?
Answer: Only to shops that agreed to hear about new designs. A new-designs message is a marketing template at ₹0.94, sent to customers whose opt-in is recorded with its source and date. STOP ends it.
Question: Customers across Supaul's northern border message our shop from Nepali numbers. Do they cost the India rate?
Answer: No. Meta charges by the recipient's country code, so messages to a Nepali number are charged at InfiQ's published rate for that market, in rupees, not at the India rate. The rules on replies and templates are the same.
Question: Visitors ask our Birpur cab service about the drive to the Koshi Barrage. Is our answer a marketing message?
Answer: No. The visitor asked, so the route, the timing and the fare are replies at ₹0.145 each. If they book and you send the driver's name and number the evening before, that is a utility template at ₹0.19.
Question: Families in Supaul write to our shop in Maithili. Can our WhatsApp templates be in Maithili?
Answer: No. Maithili is not one of Meta's template languages, so templates must be in Hindi (hi), English (en or en_IN) or another supported language. Replies are not templates, so your staff can answer in Maithili whenever a customer writes first.
