Oklahoma's tourism office promotes more than 400 miles of Route 66 in the state and calls it the nation's longest driveable stretch of the road, and is celebrating the road's 100 years.[1]
The state's Midpoint Corridor of Route 66 runs from west of Tulsa to the north of the Oklahoma City metro, with eleven towns promoting it together.[1]
