JAXPORT is Florida's largest container port by volume, moving ten million tons of cargo a year through four deep-water terminals, with services to 140 ports in more than 70 countries.[2]
Foreign-Trade Zone No. 64, administered by JAXPORT, is Florida's largest: it covers all seven counties of the region, more than 5,000 square miles, and 156 million square feet of distribution and warehouse space.[2]
CSX, Norfolk Southern and Florida East Coast Railway all serve the region, and more than 85,700 people work in its transportation and logistics.[2]
The region is home to four Fortune 500 headquarters, FIS, Fidelity National Financial, CSX and GuideWell, and has more than 53,000 financial-services workers and 900+ fintech companies and startups.[3]
Deutsche Bank, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Bank of America run major operations there; fintech employment rose 27% between 2015 and 2025.[3]
