Akot and Akola district in six lines

Akola district covers 5,672.81 sq km and has seven tehsils: Akola, Balapur, Patur, Barshitakali, Murtizapur, Akot and Telhara.[1]
The district forms the central part of Amravati Division and was part of Berar Province under British rule; Washim district was formed out of it in 1998.[1]
