What Phone Number ID means
The Phone Number ID is a stable, unique identifier that Meta assigns to a specific business phone number registered on the WhatsApp Business API. It is distinct from the human-readable phone number itself and is what API requests reference when sending messages from that number.
Because a single WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) can hold several phone numbers, the Phone Number ID tells the API exactly which number a message should originate from. It appears in send-message endpoints and in webhook payloads.
