Tohana in seven lines

Tohana is one of Fatehabad district's three sub-divisions, with Fatehabad and Ratia, and one of its seven blocks, with Fatehabad, Ratia, Nagpur, Bhuna, Bhattu Kalan and Jakhal.[2]

Invest India's ODOP list names cotton and agri-based products as Fatehabad's primary product and agriculture implements as its secondary one.[3]
The area was desert until the Bhakra Nangal sub-branch canal brought irrigation; the town is called the City of Canals, Nahro ki Nagri, and its parks lie between the canals.[4]
The name is traced to the Sanskrit Taushayana; Hisar was the area's district headquarters until Fatehabad district was created in 1997.[4]
The town lies about 2 km from the Punjab border and about 56 km from Fatehabad; NH 148B runs to Narnaul, Hansi, Moonak and Bathinda, and roads to Fatehabad go via Bhuna and Ratia.[4]
Its station is in Northern Railway's Delhi division; people mainly speak Haryanvi, Punjabi, Multani and Hindi, with Bagri as a regional language.[4]
