Piduguralla in seven lines

From the Palnadu district administration's pages and Invest India's ODOP list; the town's municipality, kilns, road and railway are general background from Wikipedia.

Palnadu was formed on 4 April 2022 from Guntur district, with its headquarters at Narasaraopet and three revenue divisions: Narasaraopet, Sattenapalli and Gurazala.[1],[2]

The district describes itself as a hub of limestone, Napa slab, granite, copper and lead mining, with extensive cement plants centred around areas like Piduguralla.[1]

Piduguralla is the headquarters of its mandal under the Gurazala revenue division, and its municipality was formed on 21 May 2005.[3]

The town has many limestone kilns, and quarrying and sending out limestone and white cement is one of its main occupations.[3]

NH167A passes through Piduguralla, and its station, code PGRL, is on the Pagidipalle–Nallapadu section of South Central Railway's Guntur division.[3]

A new line runs from Bibinagar, near Hyderabad, to Nadikudi, and the first phase of the Nadikudi–Srikalahasti line, from New Piduguralla Junction to Savalyapuram Junction, is complete.[3]

The district names Telugu and Urdu as its major languages and cotton, chillies, tobacco, paddy and pulses as its major crops; its ODOP list includes Durgi stone carving.[1],[4]
