Karauli's palace looks down on a town laid out by the Bhadrawati, walled in the red sandstone the district still cuts. Every Chaitra the road to Kaila Devi fills, and every lodge's phone with it.
For Karauli's lodges and dharamshalas near the Madan Mohan ji temple, the jeeps that run pilgrims to Kaila Devi, the guides to the sanctuary and the hill forts, and the workshops cutting the district's red sandstone: which message a lodge may send in fair week, to whom, and what each one costs.
See it work
When the Kaila Devi fair begins, a lodge near the Madan Mohan ji temple hears from pilgrims who are writing now, families who booked months ago, last year's guests and the odd visitor from abroad. Answer the questions to find the right message for each.
The tree turns on two facts: whether the person wrote first, and whether the message sells anything. A room reminder for a booked family is utility; the same reminder with a discount in it becomes marketing and needs the guest's recorded yes.
Meta charges by the recipient's calling code, which is why the visitor abroad lands on a different branch. The 24-hour service window explains the reply rule.

For 24 hours after the pilgrim's message, answer in any words, with the room photo and the route, at the service rate. No template needed.
Path: “A pilgrim who wrote to us today”
Send a utility template
A booking reminder for a room they booked: an approved template in Hindi with their name, dates and the lodge's location.
Path: “A family who booked a room for the fair” → “Their room, arrival time and the way to the lodge”
Send a marketing template
An offer is marketing, even inside a booking message. Send it only to guests whose yes is on record, and honour every STOP.
Path: “Guests from last year's fair” → “Yes, and it is recorded”
Do not send
No recorded opt-in means no offer. Ask for consent at check-out this year, so next Chaitra the list is clean.
Path: “Guests from last year's fair” → “No, or we are not sure”

Question 1: Who is the message for? 4 options.
From Rajasthan Tourism's Karauli page, Invest India's ODOP list and IBEF's Rajasthan profile; the town's name and municipal history are general background from Wikipedia.
Karauli is the headquarters of its district, in the Bharatpur division and the Braj region; the town was formerly named Kalyanpuri, and its municipality dates from 1884.[4]
The City Palace was first built by Arjun Pal in the fourteenth century and rebuilt by Raja Gopal Singh in the eighteenth; its terrace overlooks the town laid out by the River Bhadrawati.[1]
The Madan Mohan ji temple stands on the bank of the Bhadravati and is open to devotees from 5 am to 10 pm.[1]
The Kaila Devi temple, about 25 km away on the Kalisal in the Trikut hills, is believed to date from 1100 and is counted among the nine Shakti Peethas; its fair lasts a fortnight in Chaitra.[1]
The Kaila Devi sanctuary begins beyond the temple and joins Ranthambore National Park, with chinkara, nilgai, jackals and leopards.[1]
Timangarh fort and Mandrayal are each about 40 km out; at Mandrayal, Raja Arjun Dev took the fort in 1327 and Maharaja Harbaksh Pal later built the Bala Kila.[1]
Rajasthan Tourism notes the red sandstone of the city's sturdy walls; Invest India's ODOP list names sandstone products for the district, and IBEF lists sandstone among Rajasthan's decorative stones.[1],[2],[3]
The nearest airport is Jaipur's Sanganer, 170 km away; trains stop at Hindaun City on the Delhi–Kota route and at Gangapur.[1]
Four trades that follow the river, the temples, the hills and the stone.
Devotees come to the Madan Mohan ji temple through the year and in far larger numbers for the Kaila Devi fair in Chaitra.[1]
Families ride the 25 km to Kaila Devi, and onward to Shri Mahavirji or the stations at Hindaun City and Gangapur.[1]
The Kaila Devi sanctuary runs on to Ranthambore, and Timangarh and Mandrayal are each about 40 km out.[1]
Sandstone products are the district's ODOP entry, cut from the same red stone as the city's walls.[2],[1]
Most of Karauli's customers, and the pilgrims who come to its temples, read Hindi; visitors from abroad and buyers' offices read English.
Braj and the region's other speech are not Meta template languages, so templates go in Hindi while staff reply in whatever a pilgrim writes. Each language is a separate template under the same name, each approved by Meta before it is sent; InfiQ's own support works in English and Hindi.
| Language | Meta code | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi | hi | Pilgrims, families, jeep passengers and stone buyers |
| English (India) | en_IN | Quotations, invoices and Indian tour groups |
| English | en | Visitors to the sanctuary from abroad |
