WhatsApp Business API for Hindaun's sandstone yards and pilgrim travel
Tradition ties Hindaun's name to Hiranyakashipu and his son Prahlad. Today the town is a station on the Delhi–Kota line where Karauli's pilgrims step off, in a district known for its red sandstone.
Trade 1
Sandstone yards
Karauli's pale red sandstone is the district's ODOP entry, chosen by builders from photos before a truck leaves.

The pilgrims' station
Hindaun City, on the Delhi–Kota line, is where families step off for Shri Mahavirji, Kaila Devi and Madan Mohan ji.
For Hindaun's sandstone yards and carvers, and for the taxis, lodges and travel desks that meet pilgrims at Hindaun City station for Shri Mahavirji, Kaila Devi and Madan Mohan ji: how a booking runs on the official WhatsApp Business API from the first question to the pickup, and what each message costs.

A Shri Mahavirji fair booking, from question to platform
A family in Delhi asks a Hindaun taxi desk for a car from the station to Shri Mahavirji during the Chaitra fair. Step through the booking to see who sends what, and which messages need a template.
Fair dates are fixed by the calendar, so families book days or weeks ahead. Everything the desk sends in answer to their questions is a reply; the confirmation and the reminder the evening before usually fall outside the window and go as approved utility templates.
On the day, a late train opens a new window. The desk can hand the chat to the driver in the shared inbox, and he answers from the business number, not his own phone. The 24-hour service window explains the rule.

Hindaun in six lines
From Rajasthan Tourism's Karauli page, Invest India's ODOP list and IBEF's Rajasthan profile; the history line is general background from Wikipedia.
Hindaun City is one of the two railway stations, with Gangapur, on the Delhi–Kota main route that connect Karauli district to the rest of the country.[1]
Local tradition traces the town's name to Hiranyakashipu, whose son Prahlad is remembered at the Prahlad Kund and a Narasimha temple; the area was once part of the Matsya kingdom.[4]
Shri Mahavirji's Jain temple, built in the 19th century, holds its fair from the thirteenth day of the bright half of Chaitra to the first day of the dark half of Vaishakh, with Mahavir Jayanti.[1]
The Kaila Devi temple, about 25 km from Karauli on the Kalisal river, holds a fair lasting a fortnight in Chaitra; the Madan Mohan temple stands on the Bhadravati, reached by bus or taxi through Hindaun City.[1]
Rajasthan Tourism calls Karauli world renowned for its pale red sandstone, and Invest India's One District One Product list names sandstone products for the district.[1],[2]
IBEF notes that Rajasthan contributes significantly to India's production of dimensional and decorative stones, and counts marble and handicrafts among its key industries.[3]
Industries
Who in Hindaun writes to buyers and pilgrims
Four kinds of business in the town, and the messages each sends most.
- 01
Sandstone yards and carvers
Sandstone products are the district's ODOP entry, sold to builders and architects who choose slabs and carved pieces from photos before a truck is booked.[2],[1]
On WhatsApp: Daylight photos of slabs in reply · Quotes and proforma invoices as documents · Dispatch notices with the truck number
- 02
Pilgrim taxis and travel desks
Pilgrims step off at Hindaun City for Shri Mahavirji, Kaila Devi and the Madan Mohan temple, and book cars on fair dates fixed by the calendar.[1]
On WhatsApp: Fare and route answers in reply · Booking confirmations and pickup reminders · Driver details on the day
- 03
Lodges and dharamshala bookings
The Shri Mahavirji fair around Mahavir Jayanti and the fortnight-long Kaila Devi fair fill rooms on known dates every Chaitra.[1]
On WhatsApp: Room confirmations · Check-in times and directions · Fair-season notes to past guests who opted in
- 04
Stone transporters
Slabs leave the yards by truck for building sites in other states, where site managers want to know when the load will arrive.[2]
On WhatsApp: Loading and departure notices · Arrival updates in reply · Delivery confirmations
Hindi templates for pilgrims and builders alike
Meta approves each template once per language. Hindi carries almost everything a Hindaun business sends first; English covers architects' offices and invoices.
Braj and the local speech of the area are not template languages, but replies inside the 24-hour window can be in whatever your staff and customers write. InfiQ's own support works in English and Hindi.
| Language | Meta code | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi | hi | Pilgrims, drivers, builders and transporters |
| English (India) | en_IN | Architects, contractors' offices and invoices |
| Gujarati | gu | Only for desks that serve Jain pilgrims from Gujarat; a separate approved version |

Questions Hindaun businesses ask
Question: Architects ask our Hindaun stone yard for photos of red sandstone slabs. Do we need a template to send them?
Answer: Not if the architect wrote to you in the last 24 hours. Daylight photos, sizes, a quote as a PDF and your answers are replies at ₹0.145 each, and every new message from the architect restarts the window. Writing first to a new architect needs an approved template.
Question: Families arriving at Hindaun City station for the Shri Mahavirji fair book our cars. How do we send them the pickup details?
Answer: The booking confirmation and the evening-before message with the driver's name are utility templates at ₹0.19 each, in Hindi. If the family writes on the day, say about a late train, your replies for the next 24 hours cost ₹0.145 each.
Question: The Kaila Devi fair runs for a fortnight in Chaitra. Can our lodge write to last year's pilgrims before it begins?
Answer: Yes, to pilgrims who agreed to receive offers from you. A fair-season note is a marketing template at ₹0.94 per delivered message. A confirmation for a room a pilgrim has booked is utility at ₹0.19.
Question: A Delhi site manager wants to know when our sandstone truck from Hindaun will arrive. Can the driver answer from the yard's number?
Answer: Yes. The shared team inbox gives 10 users on Lite and 25 on Growth, so the yard can assign the site manager's chat to the person tracking the truck. Answers inside 24 hours of his message are replies at ₹0.145.
Question: Our small carving workshop in Hindaun already uses the WhatsApp Business app. Do we have to give it up for the API?
Answer: No. With WhatsApp Coexistence the app keeps working on the same number while the API runs alongside it, within Meta's coexistence limits. The workshop can keep chatting from the phone while confirmations go out as templates.
Question: Jain pilgrims from Gujarat book our Shri Mahavirji travel desk. Can our templates be in Gujarati?
Answer: Yes. Gujarati (gu) is a Meta template language, approved as its own version of each template beside Hindi. Send each pilgrim the version in the language they wrote in; replies inside the window can be in any language.
