Crochet makers
Crochet goods are Jamui's first ODOP product, sold to shops and buyers who order a set of pieces and wait for the parcel.[3]
- Order and advance confirmations
- Parcel dispatch notes
- New designs to buyers who asked
Jamui's ODOP list starts with crochet goods, and Jain tradition places Mahavira's omniscience at the old Jambhiyagram. The buyers and pilgrims who write to Jamui do so in several languages; only some of them can be template languages.

Crochet goods
Jamui's first product on the ODOP list, made for shops and buyers far beyond the district.
Trade 2
Pilgrim stays
Jain tradition ties the old Jambhiyagram to Mahavira, and Lachhuar's temple keeps a large dharmshala for pilgrims.
For Jamui's crochet makers, the stays that serve Jain pilgrims at Lachhuar, the district's jackfruit and paddy traders and its guest houses: which messages can go in Hindi, Urdu or English templates, why Magahi, Khortha and Santali stay as replies, what needs consent, and what each message costs in rupees.
See it work
Jamui's buyers, pilgrims and customers write in Hindi, Urdu, English, Magahi, Khortha or Santali. Focus a cell to see which language a template can use for each of them, and where only a reply will do.
The right-hand column is the one to remember. Inside the 24-hour service window that a customer's message opens, staff can reply in any language at all, each reply at the service rate. A message the business starts needs an approved template, and that template has to be in a language Meta lists.
So a Jamui business usually approves its templates in Hindi and English, adds Urdu or Bengali where its customers read them, and leaves Magahi, Khortha and Santali to the people answering chats.

Five kinds of business, from the district's ODOP products to its temples and dams.
Crochet goods are Jamui's first ODOP product, sold to shops and buyers who order a set of pieces and wait for the parcel.[3]
Jackfruit is the district's second ODOP product, and much of the western plain around Jamui and Sikandra is paddy land.[3],[1]
The Lachhuar Jain Mandir keeps a large dharmshala for Jain pilgrims, who write ahead about rooms and arrival.[2],[8]
Minto Tower at Gidhaur, the Gidheshwar and Malaypur temples and the Nagi and Nakti bird sanctuary bring visitors who ask the way and the timings.[2],[1]
Jamui station is on the Howrah–Delhi main line, and the shops and agents around it serve travellers and parcels in both directions.[8]
From the Jamui district website, Invest India's ODOP list and IBEF's Bihar profile, with the district's Jain tradition, railway and languages from Wikipedia.
Jamui district was formed on 21 February 1991 by separating it from Munger; Munger lies to its north and Jharkhand's Giridih and Deoghar to its south.[1]
Most of the district is hilly; the western part around Sikandra, Jamui and Khaira is plain, much of it paddy land, and the Kiul and Ulai are its chief rivers.[1]
The Garhi, Nagi and Nakti dams lie in the southern hills, and Nagi and Nakti are declared a bird sanctuary.[1]
The district's tourism page lists the Lachhuar Jain Mandir, the Kali Mandir at Malaypur, Minto Tower at Gidhaur and the Gidheshwar temple.[2]
Jamui was once known as Jambhiyagram, where Jain tradition says Mahavira attained omniscience; Gidhaur's Minto Tower was built in 1909.[8]
The ODOP list names crochet goods as Jamui's primary product and jackfruit as its secondary one.[3]
Hindi, Urdu, Khortha, Santali and Magahi are among the languages spoken in the district.[8]
IBEF calls Bihar the fourth-largest producer of vegetables and the eighth-largest producer of fruits in India.[4]
These are the Meta template languages a Jamui business is likely to use. Magahi, Khortha and Santali are not on Meta's list, so they belong in replies, not templates.
Inside the 24-hour window after a customer writes, staff can reply in Magahi, Khortha, Santali or any other language. InfiQ's own support team works in English and Hindi.
| Language | Meta code | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi | hi | Buyers, pilgrims, traders and customers across Bihar and the north |
| English (India) | en_IN | Bills, exporters and pilgrims from the south and west |
| Urdu | ur | Customers in the district who read Urdu |
| Bengali | bn | Crochet buyers in West Bengal who prefer it |
On InfiQ
For a crochet maker's orders and a dharmshala's bookings.
Draft the order, dispatch and booking templates from the library in Hindi and English, add Urdu or Bengali versions, and track each through Meta's approval.
Whoever speaks Santali or Magahi in the team can pick up those chats, with labels for buyers, pilgrims and traders on one number.
A crochet maker who already sells on the WhatsApp Business app can keep the app on the same number while the API sends the order notes.
A new-designs catalogue or a seasonal offer goes only to buyers and visitors whose opt-in source and time are on record.

Plan prices are monthly, in rupees, excluding GST; yearly billing is two months free. Messages are charged per delivered message on top of the plan, at the rate for the recipient’s country. Full details: InfiQ pricing. Meta charges by the recipient's country code, so buyers and pilgrims on +91 numbers are billed at the India rate whichever state they write from. A crochet buyer abroad is billed at that country's rate, published in rupees on the pricing page. Invoices carry your Bihar GSTIN.

Jamui's crochet and jackfruit travel along the Howrah–Delhi line and the roads to Munger and Jharkhand; each nearby page looks at its own trades, and the India guide covers DPDP, DLT and the rules for the whole country.
Question: Our crochet unit in Jamui sells to shops in other states. Can each order confirmation go out in Hindi and in English?
Answer: Yes. An order confirmation about a shop's own order is a utility template at ₹0.19, and you can approve the same template in Hindi (hi) and English (en_IN) so each shop gets the version it reads. Send it to shops that agreed to order updates.
Question: Can a Jamui crochet maker send photos of new designs to every shop that once bought a set?
Answer: Only to shops that agreed to receive them; a past order is not that agreement. New designs promote, so the message is a marketing template at ₹0.94, and WhatsApp's policy requires the shop's opt-in. Ask each buyer, note the date, and honour any request to stop.
Question: Jain pilgrims book rooms at a dharmshala near the Lachhuar Jain Mandir on WhatsApp. Is the booking confirmation a template?
Answer: Yes, when you send it after the chat has gone quiet: a confirmation of the pilgrim's own room and dates is a utility template at ₹0.19. While the pilgrim is still asking questions, your replies inside the 24-hour window need no template and cost ₹0.145 each.
Question: A customer of our Jamui shop writes to us in Santali. Can we reply in Santali, and can our reminders be in Santali too?
Answer: You can reply in Santali, or Magahi or Khortha, freely for 24 hours after the customer's message. Santali is not one of Meta's template languages, so a reminder you start later has to be an approved template in a listed language such as Hindi. Each reminder about the customer's own dues is a utility template.
Question: Jackfruit traders in Jamui load lorries for buyers along the Howrah–Delhi line. Is the lorry and payment note a utility template?
Answer: Yes, if it is about the buyer's own load: the lorry number, the weight, the rate and the amount due. Approve it in Hindi, with an Urdu version if your buyers prefer it, and each note costs ₹0.19. A weekly rate list to many buyers is marketing and needs their opt-in.
Question: Visitors ask our Gidhaur guest house the way to Minto Tower and the Nagi-Nakti bird sanctuary. Can we send them a season offer later?
Answer: Only to visitors who agreed to receive offers. Asking the way is not that agreement. The offer is a marketing template at ₹0.94; record each visitor's yes with its date and source. Directions and timings sent while they are still chatting are replies, not templates.
