In May 2026 the consulate partnered with Rice University's Baker Institute and others on a roundtable on opportunities in India's energy markets, and the Consul General met Indian and Indian-American exhibitors at the Offshore Technology Conference 2026.[1]
Port Houston owns and operates the eight public facilities along the 52-mile Houston Ship Channel, including two container terminals and the area's largest breakbulk facility.[2]
The Texas Medical Center describes itself as the largest medical complex in the world, with about 10 million patient encounters a year and more than 120,000 employees.[3]
The consulate's recent events include a Diwali celebration at Houston City Hall with Mayor John Whitmire, Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day celebrations in May 2026 and a Greater Houston Tamil School graduation.[1]
Meta's documentation says WhatsApp does not currently deliver marketing template messages to users with US phone numbers, meaning a +1 dialling code and a US area code.[4]
