WhatsApp Business API for Dholka's wheat traders, print units and shops
Dholka was a trading town in al-Idrisi's day. Its buyers still ask first; the rules change only when the trader writes back first.
Dholka was on a 12th-century list of Gujarat's trading towns, and it still trades: Bhalia wheat from the Bhal, cloth and prints from the district's units. Most of that business begins with a buyer's message; the rules change the moment the trader sends the first one.

The same Bhalia wheat lot, two ways a chat can start
A Dholka trader has a lot of Bhalia wheat to sell to a semolina maker. Compare the two openings row by row: the buyer asking first, and the trader writing first.
For a Dholka trader the left column is most of the day: buyers ask, the trader answers, and the 24-hour service window covers it. The right column is where mistakes happen, because an offer of a new lot to a whole contact list is marketing and needs each buyer's opt-in.
Once a buyer orders, the dispatch note is utility again, as long as it carries no offer. The India guide covers consent under the DPDP Act.

Dholka through its sources
The town's history from its Wikipedia entry, Bhalia wheat from its entry, and the district and state from Invest India's ODOP list, the Ahmedabad district website and IBEF's Gujarat profile.
Dholka is a municipality in Ahmedabad district and the headquarters of Dholka Taluka.[8]
Early records call it Dhavalgadh, and Zaverchand Meghani's novel uses the name Dhavalakka; local legend sets the town on the site of Viratpur, where the Pandavas are said to have stayed.[8]
Malav Talav, a lake with a stone wall and steps, was built near the end of the 11th century by Minaldevi, mother of the Chaulukya king Jayasimha Siddharaja.[8]
In the 12th century al-Idrisi listed Dholka among Gujarat's main trading towns; the Marathas and Gaikwads held it in the 18th century, and the British took it in 1804.[8]
The town has three Jain temples, the brick Khan Masjid, the stone Khan Talao and the Jumu'ah Masjid; the Nageshvar temple dates to 1751 and a Swaminarayan temple to 1883.[8]
Bhalia wheat, a long grain used for semolina, pasta and noodles, is widely cultivated in Dhandhuka, Dholka and Bavla talukas on conserved soil moisture, and was registered as a geographical indication in 2011.[9]
The ODOP list names garments and apparel, terracotta, Mata ni Pachedi or Saudagiri block print, and Gamthi block print as Ahmedabad district's products; the district site lists 15 blocks and 556 villages.[2],[1]
IBEF lists dairy, agro and food processing, and textiles and apparels among Gujarat's key industries, and says the state declared 2026 'Gujarat Tourism Year'.[3]

Gujarati first, Hindi and English for buyers further away
Gujarati is on Meta's list of template languages, so a Dholka trader or unit writes its templates in Gujarati first and adds a version for each other language its buyers read.
Inside the 24-hour window after a buyer writes, staff can answer in any language without a template. InfiQ's own support team works in English and Hindi.
| Language | Meta code | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Gujarati | gu | Growers, traders, shops and customers across Gujarat |
| Hindi | hi | Wheat buyers, garment brands and drivers from other states |
| English (India) | en_IN | Invoices, brands' offices, boutiques and banks |

The tools behind the right-hand column.
- Template manager and library
Draft the lot offer, dispatch and payment templates in Gujarati, Hindi and English, with a photo of the grain as the header, and track each through Meta's approval.
- Consent records and opt-out enforcement
Each buyer's yes to lot offers is stored with its source and time, and a STOP holds even when that number comes back in next season's import.
- Broadcast campaigns
An offer of a new lot goes to the buyers who asked for it as a scheduled broadcast, with delivery reports.
- Busy accounting integration
A trader or garment unit keeping accounts in Busy can send payment reminders on WhatsApp automatically, with no integration fee.

Questions Dholka businesses ask
Question: A semolina maker asks our Dholka firm on WhatsApp for a sample of Bhalia wheat. Do our replies need templates?
Answer: No. When the buyer writes first, a 24-hour window opens and you can reply freely with photos, the grade and the price, in Gujarati or any other language. Each reply is a service message at ₹0.145 on InfiQ. A template is needed only if you write first or after the window has closed.
Question: Can we tell every miller and pasta maker in our book that a new lot of Bhalia wheat from Dholka taluka is ready?
Answer: Only those who agreed to receive offers. A message offering a lot promotes a sale, so Meta treats it as a marketing template at ₹0.94, and WhatsApp's policy requires each recipient's opt-in. Record when and how each buyer said yes, and stop at once for anyone who asks.
Question: A Gamthi block-print unit near Dholka ships to boutiques in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Is the courier note a utility template?
Answer: Yes, if it is only about that boutique's order: the pieces, the courier and the docket number, with no new prints in it. It is a utility template at ₹0.19, approved once in Gujarati and once in English. A note that adds new designs is treated as marketing.
Question: A Mata ni Pachedi maker in Ahmedabad district wants to send new work to collectors abroad. What does it cost, and is it allowed?
Answer: It is allowed for collectors who opted in to updates. Meta charges by the recipient's country code, so each collector abroad is billed at that market's rate, which InfiQ publishes in rupees on the pricing page, and new-work photos are marketing. InfiQ's invoice to you stays in rupees with GST.
Question: Our shop near Malav Talav gets orders from customers who write in Gujarati. Can our order-ready templates be in Gujarati?
Answer: Yes. Gujarati (gu) is on Meta's template language list, alongside Hindi and English. Approve the order-ready template once in Gujarati; each notice to a customer who agreed to updates is a utility message at ₹0.19, and your staff's replies to customers who write back need no template for 24 hours.
Question: Garments head Ahmedabad district's ODOP list. Can a Dholka unit stitching job work for an Ahmedabad brand send daily status updates on WhatsApp?
Answer: Yes. Status and dispatch updates about the brand's own orders are utility templates at ₹0.19, sent to the buyer who agreed to them. If the buyer replies with a change, your floor manager can answer freely for 24 hours, and InfiQ's shared inbox lets the office and the floor see the same thread.
