Most of an export order is utility: confirmations, job cards, photos of the finished piece and the documents. The only marketing on the grid is the new collection, and it goes only to people who said yes.

Bhadohi in nine lines
From the Bhadohi district administration, the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, the Carpet Export Promotion Council and Invest India's ODOP list.
Bhadohi takes its name from the Bhar Raj that had it as its capital; under Akbar it was made a dastur in the sarkar of Allahabad.[2]
The district was created on 30 June 1994 as Uttar Pradesh's 65th, from Varanasi district.[2]
It covers 1,015 sq km with three tehsils and six blocks; the Ganga forms its south-western border, and the Varuna and Morva are its other main rivers.[1]
The district calls Bhadohi the biggest carpet manufacturing centre in India, known for hand-knotted carpets, and says weaving here dates from the sixteenth century, in Akbar's reign.[3]
Carpets made in nine districts, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Sonebhadra, Kaushambi, Allahabad, Jaunpur and Chandauli, may carry the GI tag as handmade carpets of Bhadohi; cotton dhurries, Chhapra Mir, Loribaft and Indo Gabbeh are among the types made.[3]
Invest India's ODOP list names carpet (dari) for Bhadohi.[6]
The Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, on Chauri Road, works under the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) of the Ministry of Textiles and teaches a B.Tech in carpet and textile technology and a course in carpet design with CAD.[4]
The Carpet Export Promotion Council lists a Carpet Expo Mart at Bhadohi and the India Carpet Expo there, and takes exporters to fairs such as Heimtextil in Frankfurt and Spring Fair in Birmingham.[5]
Meta charges each delivered message by its category and by the recipient's country calling code, so a buyer in Germany is billed at Germany's rate wherever the carpet was woven.[7]
