Bapatla in nine lines

A gazette notification of 26 January 2022 divided Guntur district into three; Bapatla district took 12 mandals from the Tenali division and 13 from Prakasam district, 25 in all.[1],[2]
The district lists 3 municipalities, 278 villages, 12,032 hectares of forest and a 74 km coastline, and Telugu as its language.[1]
Guntur district, from which Bapatla was carved, had been constituted as a separate district in 1904.[2]
The district describes the Bhavanarayana Swamy temple as an ancient temple dedicated to Venugopala Swamy, where thousands of devotees join the Pavitrotsavam and the Rathotsavam.[3]
