WhatsApp Business API for Anantnag's hotels, trout farms and fruit traders
In Anantnag the template goes out in Urdu and the reply comes back in Kashmiri; both belong to the same conversation.
Anantnag is where the valley's southern roads meet: to Pahalgam up the Lidder, to the springs at Kokernag and Verinag, and on to Srinagar. Guests and buyers ask on WhatsApp first; the business has 24 hours to answer freely, and a template for everything after.
For hotels and guesthouses in Anantnag, Pahalgam, Kokernag and Verinag, Yatra service providers, trout farms and apple and walnut traders: how the official WhatsApp Business API carries a booking from first message to pickup, why templates go in Urdu, Hindi or English while replies can be in Kashmiri, and what each message costs.

A Pahalgam guest's path, from a tap to the pickup at Anantnag
Follow one booking through the diagram: the guest writes first, the front desk answers inside the window, and the messages after the advance is paid go as approved templates.
A guest booking a stay up the Lidder from another state asks the same questions every hotel hears: rooms, photos, the road. Those answers are replies. What the hotel sends after the advance, days or weeks later, needs a template, and the guest's agreement to booking updates.
Keep each notice about the guest's own booking. A notice that also sells a paid excursion becomes marketing. The 24-hour service window explains the reply rule, and the India guide covers consent under the DPDP Act.

Anantnag, from the district's own pages
From the Anantnag district website, the Invest India ODOP list and IBEF's Jammu and Kashmir profile, with the town's name and transport from the encyclopaedia.
The district site gives Anantnag 3,574 sq km, 10 tehsils, 16 blocks, 395 villages and 10 municipalities, with a population of 10,78,692 and literacy of 64.32%.[1]
It places the district in the southern sector of the Jhelum Valley, with the most streams in the valley, among them the Sandran, Brengi and Arpath, and the Lidder rising in Sheshnag Lake.[1]
In 2019-20, 64.56% of the district's reporting area was under agriculture, and the district imports food grain from neighbouring states.[2]
Its tourist pages list Pahalgam as one of Jammu and Kashmir's famous health resorts, Lidderwat as the base camp for the Kolahoi glacier, the springs at Kokernag, Achabal and Verinag, and the Martand Sun Temple.[3]
The district site runs a Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra section with a 2026 control room, rate notices for service providers and draws for shops and tents.[1]
The ODOP list names trout fish as Anantnag's product.[4]
IBEF puts Jammu and Kashmir's GSDP at Rs 2.59 trillion in 2025-26 and counts 1.78 crore tourist visits in 2025, with tele-density at 96.89% in March 2026.[5]
The town takes its name from the Anantanaga spring at its southern end; it is about 53 km from Srinagar on NH 44, and its station on the Banihal–Baramulla line opened in October 2009.[6]

Language
Urdu on the template, Kashmiri in the reply
Meta approves each template once per language, and Kashmiri is not on its list. Switch between the pickup message an Anantnag hotel would send in Urdu, Hindi and English.
A guest or supplier who writes in Kashmiri can be answered in Kashmiri for 24 hours, with no template; only the messages the business starts must use a listed language. InfiQ's own support team works in English and Hindi.

Questions Anantnag businesses ask
- Most of our customers around Anantnag speak Kashmiri. Can our WhatsApp templates be written in Kashmiri?
- No. Kashmiri is not one of Meta's template languages, so the messages you start must be in Urdu (ur), Hindi (hi), English or another listed language. Once a customer writes to you, staff can reply in Kashmiri for 24 hours without a template, each reply at ₹0.145.
- Guests come by train to Anantnag station on their way to our hotel in Pahalgam. Can we send the pickup time the day before?
- Yes, to guests who agreed to booking updates. A pickup time for their own booking is a utility template at ₹0.19. Write it in Hindi and English for guests from other states and in Urdu for those from the valley; Meta approves each language version separately.
- Our tent was allotted in the Anantnag district's Yatra draw. Can pilgrims who booked with us get a confirmation on WhatsApp?
- Yes. A confirmation of the pilgrim's own booking, with the date and what to bring, is a utility template at ₹0.19. Keep offers out of it. A pilgrim's questions back are answered freely for 24 hours, and the shared inbox lets two people answer the same number on busy days.
- Hotels and restaurants order trout from our farm in Anantnag district. Can they get the harvest and dispatch note on WhatsApp?
- Yes. When a kitchen orders by message, your answers inside the 24-hour window are replies at ₹0.145. The dispatch note you send the next morning, with the weight and the driver's number, is a utility template at ₹0.19.
- We sell apples and walnuts from south Kashmir to buyers in Delhi and Punjab. Do lot details to them cost more than messages within Jammu and Kashmir?
- No. Meta prices by the recipient's country code, so every +91 number is billed at the same India rate, wherever the buyer is. A lot and truck note about the buyer's own order is a utility template at ₹0.19; write it in Hindi or English for buyers outside the valley.
- Can a guesthouse in Kokernag or Verinag send last year's guests a spring offer on WhatsApp?
- Only to guests who agreed to receive offers. A past stay is not that agreement. A spring offer is a marketing template at ₹0.94; record each guest's opt-in with its date and source. Start with a 7-day Lite trial, no card needed; once Meta business verification is complete, the number is usually live in about two hours.
