Ambajogai in nine lines

Ambajogai heads one of Beed district's five revenue sub-divisions, which takes in the Ambajogai and Kaij blocks.[1]
Bhir district was part of the Nizam's State, joined Bombay State in the 1956 reorganisation and has been in Maharashtra since 1960.[2]

The Kholeshwar temple south of the town is a thirteenth-century Hemadpanthi temple, and the Shivleni, or Hattikhana, caves are a protected monument.[6]
Swami Ramanand Teerth Rural Medical College grew from a hospital built on the former cavalry stables of the Hyderabad State army; Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya was founded in 1935, and the town is known as a centre of education.[6]
