A business day in Faridkot

WhatsApp Business API for Faridkot's coaching centres, hostels and guesthouses

Mokalsi built a fort here in the 13th century, and the town took Baba Farid's name. Today it is a health university town, and students, patients' families and fair visitors all write before they arrive.

For the coaching centres that prepare students for Baba Farid University of Health Sciences' entrance tests, the hostels and PG rooms that house them, the labs and guesthouses around the Guru Gobind Singh Medical College hospital, and the caterers of Agman Purab week: which messages are replies or templates, and what each costs.

A nursing aspirant joins a Faridkot coaching batch

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences runs entrance tests such as PPMET for BSc Nursing, and coaching centres in the town prepare students for them. Step through one student's messages to see which are replies and which the centre sends as templates.

The student's questions are conversations, so the batch details and the admit-card answer are replies, typed by whoever is at the desk. What the centre sends on its own, the receipt, the timing change and the login code, goes as approved templates from the fee and test system.

The 24-hour service window explains when a reply needs no template.

Faridkot in eight lines

From the Faridkot district website's history, about and tourist pages, the university's site, Invest India's ODOP list and IBEF's Punjab profile.

The town was founded by Mokalsi, grandson of Raja Manj, who ruled the territory in the 13th century and built a fort here; it was renamed Faridkot after Baba Farid, and remained the capital under Mokalsi's sons Jairsi and Wairsi.[1]

The district lies in south-west Punjab, bordered by Ferozepur, Moga, Ludhiana, Bathinda and Sangrur; in 1996 Faridkot Division was set up with its headquarters at Faridkot, covering Faridkot, Bathinda and Mansa districts.[2]

The district headquarters lies on the Firozepur–Bathinda–Delhi railway line, and Faridkot, Kotkapura and Jaitu are linked by rail and road.[2]

The district directory lists BFUHS and GGMC Faridkot among its medical colleges; the university's site carries notices for entrance tests such as PPMET-2026 for BSc Nursing, and names the Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot.[2],[4],[5]

The Davies Model Agriculture Farm Gate dates from 1910, when it was a stud farm of the ruler of Faridkot state; the Investiture Gate on Railway Road was built on 24 November 1916; the old Lady Dane Hospital now houses the DMO office.[3]

The fair of the Sufi saint Baba Farid, the Agman Purab, is held every September and runs for about a week; Gurudwara Godari Sahib stands on Kotkapura Road, 4 km from the town.[3]

Invest India's ODOP list names basmati rice and agriculture implements for Faridkot district; the Kotkapura page covers those trades.[6]

IBEF lists pharmaceuticals, agro-based industries and food products among Punjab's key industries.[7]

Punjabi for families, Hindi and English for the campus

Meta approves each template once per language. A Faridkot centre or hostel writes to students and families in Punjabi, keeps Hindi for students from other states, and English for the campus offices.

Inside the 24-hour window after someone writes, staff can reply in any language without a template. InfiQ's own support works in English and Hindi.
