A business day in Gudivada

WhatsApp Business API for Gudivada's colleges, traders and junction town shops

Gudivada is Krishna district's major railway junction and the seat of one of its three revenue divisions, a delta town of paddy fields, bus routes and colleges. Its parents and buyers write at all hours; the clock that matters is the 24-hour window.

  1. 07:30

A rice mill sends a buyer the lorry number and the driver's phone

  2. 10:00

A college's admissions desk answers parents about seats and documents

  3. 13:30

A saree shop sends photos of a new Kalamkari print to a buyer who asked

  4. 18:00

A travel desk confirms a passenger's seat for tomorrow's journey

  5. 21:15

A parent's late question waits in the shared inbox for the morning

For Gudivada's colleges and coaching centres, paddy traders and rice mills, Kalamkari and saree sellers, travel desks and clinics: how long a business may reply freely after a parent or buyer writes on WhatsApp, which messages need a Telugu or English template, and what each costs in rupees.

See it work

A parent's admission enquiry, hour by hour

A parent in a village outside Gudivada writes to a college's admissions number one evening. Drag along the 24 hours to see what the admissions desk may send, and what changes when the window closes.

The window runs from the customer's latest message, not the first. If the parent sends a photo of the marks memo at hour 14, the desk may reply freely until hour 38. The 24-hour service window explains the rule in full.

Once the window has closed, the college writes first only with a template: a utility note that the application was received or that the counselling date is set, sent to a parent who agreed to updates. A message promoting a new course is marketing and needs a separate yes.

Gudivada and Krishna district, from the district's pages

From the Krishna district website, its ODOP page, IBEF's Andhra Pradesh profile, and the encyclopaedia for the town's history and institutions.

Krishna district, headquartered at Machilipatnam, was renamed from Machilipatnam district in 1859 and divided into Krishna and NTR districts in 2022.[1]

The district has three revenue divisions, Bandar, Gudivada and Vuyyuru, and calls Gudivada its major railway junction.[2],[1]

Paddy is the district's main food crop, and the delta is irrigated by the Prakasam Barrage canals of the Krishna.[2]

The district's ODOP is Pedana block Kalamkari, printed with vegetable dyes and carved wooden blocks in karkhanas around Pedana, 13 km from Machilipatnam; it received a GI tag in 2013.[3]

Gudivada's municipality was constituted in 1937 and later upgraded to special grade; NH 165 passes through the town, and its bus station is a major hub.[5]

The town has two private aided colleges, ANR College and KT Reddy Women's College, eleven unaided private colleges and the Regional Research Institute for Homeopathy.[5]

Excavations here found a Buddhist stupa mound and Jain relics; reliquaries from the stupa are held in the British Museum.[5]

IBEF names rice among Andhra Pradesh's leading crops and puts the state's fish and prawn production at 4.13 million tonnes in 2024-25.[4]

The tools that keep a reply inside the window.

  1. Shared team inbox

An admissions desk answers one number with several staff, so a parent's evening question is picked up before the 24 hours run out.

  2. InfiQ Flows chatbot builder

A no-code flow can answer the commonest questions, seats, fees and documents, and hand the parent to a person when needed.

  3. Template manager and library

Draft Telugu and English application, counselling and dispatch templates from the library and track each through Meta's approval.

  4. Consent records and opt-out enforcement

Each parent's yes to updates is recorded with its date, separately from any yes to course offers, and a STOP reply blocks later sends.

Questions Gudivada businesses ask

Parents from the delta villages write to our Gudivada college's admissions number late at night. Do we have to answer before morning?+
No. You have 24 hours from the parent's latest message to reply freely, so an answer the next morning is still a reply at ₹0.145. If the window closes before you answer, you can write first only with an approved template, such as a utility note about the student's own application.
Our coaching centre near ANR College in Gudivada changes class times before exams. Is a timetable notice a utility message?+
Yes, when it goes to enrolled students or their parents who agreed to updates and carries no offer: a class-time or exam-hall notice is a utility template at ₹0.19. A message inviting them to join a new batch is marketing at ₹0.94 and needs a separate opt-in.
Our rice mill near Gudivada sends buyers in Vijayawada the lorry number and the driver's phone. Which template category is that?+
Utility. A dispatch note for an order the buyer has placed, with the lorry number, the driver's phone and the expected arrival, is billed at ₹0.19. If the buyer replies to ask about the moisture or the weight, your staff can answer freely for 24 hours.
We sell Pedana Kalamkari, Krishna district's ODOP, from a shop in Gudivada. Can we send new block prints to past buyers?+
Yes, as a marketing template at ₹0.94, to past buyers who agreed to receive offers and new designs. Meta approves the template once per language, so write it in Telugu and English. A buyer who replies asking for a price can be answered freely for 24 hours.
Travellers ask our desk near Gudivada Junction about seats on tomorrow's journey. Can the confirmation go on WhatsApp?+
Yes. If the traveller wrote to you in the last 24 hours, the confirmation can go as a reply at ₹0.145. If not, a booking confirmation with the date, seat and boarding point is a utility template at ₹0.19, sent to travellers who agreed to WhatsApp updates.
Is the Lite plan enough for a clinic on NH 165 in Gudivada that reminds patients from Pamarru and the villages about visits?+
Usually, yes. Lite is ₹999 a month with the shared inbox for 10 users, plus each delivered message at the India rate; appointment reminders are utility at ₹0.19. Growth, at ₹2,999 a month, adds the developer API to connect a clinic system. Start with a 7-day Lite trial, no card needed.
