Windows xp

Begin by plugging the flash drive into the computer and do not remove it when it is being used as RAM.

. Click on the Start menu and click on My Computer.
. Right-click on the flash drive and select Properties.
. Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
. Click on the Advanced tab and click on Setting under Performance.
. Under Virtual Memory, click on Change and click on Custom size.
. Type in the Initial and Maximum size.
. Click Apply and OK. Then restart your computer.

Windows vista & Windows 7

With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has introduced a new technology called ReadyBoost and continued in Windows 7

To activate the ReadyBoost on your FlashDrive or Memory Cards,  follow these steps…

1. Open My Computer.
2. Right Click on the Removable Disk Drive and select Properties.
3. Click on ReadyBoost Tab.
4. Enable the feature by selecting the option and allocate the amount of space you want to use as memory.

Note - If you device is connected, but does not display the ReadyBoost tab, then it doesn't meet the minimum data transfer rate required to function as RAM.
